Gym Audio Installation
Another project in 2018 was the installation of a new line array audio system in Crown College’s gym. The gym is a hybrid space, utilized for sporting events as well as large group events, including the weekly morning chapels, annual banquets, variety shows, etc.
I presented the proposal to Crown’s presidential cabinet. Once approved, I worked closely with the IT manager to contract REACH Communications for the equipment purchases and installation.
The project included new line array main speakers and a subwoofer that were permanently installed in the rafters of the gym, a new mixing console, and some additional audio gear. We also used this opportunity to expand our lighting fixtures for our chapel sets.
The sound system investment was a game changer for this space, significantly raising the quality of audio in the room, as well as simplifying the setup process for each service and event. This sound system was another very meaningful project to me, and I am very proud of the work that went into this.

Before the installation, the main speakers and subwoofers had to be setup for each service/event, and were a much lower quality.
During installation
After installation, you can see the line arrays and subwoofer installed in the rafters. This not only provided much higher quality audio and better distribution of audio, it also cleaned up the stage.
